Member News: 

Retirement: Frederick D. Healey, president/CEO of Workers' Credit Union, Fitchburg, Mass., will retire effective Dec. 31. Healey is also the CUES chairman. Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer Douglas J. Petersen will serve as the interim president/CEO.


Gary Irvin, CCUE, CCE, president/CEO of FORUM Credit Union, Indianapolis, announced his retirement effective Dec. 31. Michael Peterson, chief risk/RIA officer, will assume the duties of interim CEO. Irvin is a former CUES chairman.

Gerard Adams, president/CEO of Credit Union Central of New Brunswick, Riverview, New Brunswick, will be retiring at the end of December.

John Simmonds, president/CEO of Southeast Financial Federal Credit Union, Franklin, Tenn., will be retiring next year. The CU will split the CEO’s job between two senior vice presidents: Jeff Dahlstrom, EVP/chief operating officer, and John Jacoway, EVP/chief financial officer.

Konnie Werner, CEO of Team One Credit Union, Saginaw, Mich., is retiring on Feb. 16. She is being succeeded as CEO by Gerald Hutto, executive vice president of the CU.

Community Involvement: New England Federal Credit Union, Williston, Vt., donated $20,000 to the Burlington-based Committee on Temporary Shelter, which provides needed services and shelter for the homeless. 

Pinellas Federal Credit Union, Largo, Fla., presents Celebration of Joy, a series of member appreciation events held throughout the month of December. Celebration of Joy features a Wonderland Walk, complete with holiday lights and decorations, trains and villages, animation and music. Children can also have their pictures taken with Santa and write their names on their very own keepsake ornaments. 

Andrews Federal Credit Union, Suitland, Md., recognized 10 financial achievers at Potomac Job Corps Center, a Washington, D.C., educational and workforce training academy. Andrews FCU has been serving the students of PJCC for over two years and provides financial education, counseling, and personal banking services. Each student was given a $25 gift card due to the frequency and consistency of deposits, management of accounts, and utilization of debit cards.
