The Seattle-based Verity Credit Union VP/organizational development was named CUES’ Next Top Credit Union Exec at CEO/Executive Team Network. Hall won an educational prize package worth $20,000, which she offered to share with another finalist. New Position: Rico Bautista is the new president/CEO of First American Credit Union, Casa Grande, Ariz. Previously, he was president/CEO of GHS Federal Credit Union, Binghamton, N.Y. He replaces James Shipe, CCUE, who retired.
Linda Garboczi, CME, CSE, is the new VP/marketing at Andrews Federal Credit Union, Suitland, Md. Previously, she was VP/member relations & marketing at AmeriCU Credit Union, Rome, N.Y.
Retirement: Bob Witty, CCUE, long-time CEO of CFCU Community Credit Union, Ithaca, N.Y., is retiring at the end of the year.
Richard Rice is retiring as president/CEO of Teachers Credit Union, South Bend, Ind. He will be succeeded by Paul Marsh, the credit union’s SVP/marketing and sales.
Promotions: IBM Southeast Employees’ Federal Credit Union, Boca Raton, Fla., announced the promotions of Lynn Wilderman, CCE, to EVP/chief financial officer (previously SVP/controller) and Patti Munro to SVP/retail operations (previously VP/north region).
Recognition: Members Advantage Credit Union, Michigan City, Ind., has won a Communicator Award in recognition of excellence in the advertising campaign, Membership Has Its Advantages released over the last year. The campaign won the Award of Distinction, which is given to entries that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement.
Coastal Community Credit Union, Nanaimo, British Columbia, has been named one of Canada’s 50 Best Employers. The 50 Best Employers in Canada are determined primarily through an employee survey conducted by Aon Hewitt, in conjunction with the Queen’s University School of Business.
CUES Supplier member PWCampbell, Pittsburgh, was named one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania. The award program is a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and the Central Penn Business Journal.
