The Credit Union Executives Society honored its Supplier of the Year award winner on Monday, November 8, during its CEO/Executive Team Network, at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas in Dallas.
This year’s recipient, Southwest Business Corporation, San Antonio, was founded in 1976. Employing more than 1,300 people, its mission is to pioneer financial and insurance solutions through a winning combination of world-class service and revolutionary technology.
SWBC offers flexible programs to credit unions that generate revenue, increase loyalty, prevent losses, mitigate risks and strengthen loan portfolios. Company leaders recently introduced several new products to help credit unions maintain member satisfaction, improve operating efficiencies and generate additional fee income. In 2009, SWBC contributed 10% of its before-tax income to non-profit organizations.
To be eligible for the award, companies must be CUES Supplier members for at least one year. Nominees are judged on their contributions and achievements in the credit union industry, the benefits of their product or service to the movement and their role in the community. Winners receive a company profile in a CUES publication; a complimentary full-page, four-color advertisement in Credit Union Management™ magazine and a crystal trophy.
